Rogue Livestock – Range Pilot Apprentice

Rogue Livestock is building the next generation of ranch operations using drones, sensors, and field technology.  We are looking for a Range Pilot Apprentice based in Dillon to help monitor livestock, support ranch operations, and operate drone systems across Southwest Montana.

This is a field position working directly with ranchers and livestock in large landscapes.

Training will take place at Rogue Livestock’s test ranch in the Gallatin Valley.

• Fly drones for livestock monitoring and ranch operations
• Locate and observe cattle across large grazing areas
• Support predator monitoring and range reconnaissance
• Assist with livestock technology installation (tags, sensors, monitoring systems)
• Work directly with ranchers and land managers
   

Initial training includes:

• FAA Part 107 drone certification
• aerial livestock monitoring
• flight safety and equipment maintenance 
• field operations on working ranches

• are comfortable working outdoors in ranch environments
• are mechanically inclined
• have good judgment and independence
• enjoy aviation, technology, and livestock operations
• are reliable and self-directed
• veteran, military or first responder trained
   

Cowboy skills welcome. 

Drone experience helpful but not required.

This role is based in Gallatin Valley, Montana, supporting ranch operations throughout the surrounding region.
